My farewell party

Tonight I invited lots of my friends to come to my farewell party in Fichtenweg 15.
We had BBQ, salads, drinks, music and after a while we even had loudspeakers so that we could start with the belly dance. Have a look at the following videos...
Tonight I also came to know that I've got this blog.

Fencing

That's me under the fencing mask doing a lunge. One year ago I began fencing at the "Hochschulsport" provided by the university. Because this is really fun, I started at the German University Championships in a saber group last sunday. We ranked third!

Previous study

In 2003 I enrolled at the University of Tübingen to study physics. Till my departure I attended six semesters. That was a huge quantity of work, but finally I passed my exams and obtained the "Vordiplom" (intermediate diploma).

My home town

The last 2 1/2 years I lived and studied in Tübingen. This is a lovely small town in the south of Germany. The University of Tübingen has about 24 000 students, thats more than one quater of the towns inhabitants.
It's worth living there, as you can see on the picture.

My blog being created

For my departure my friends Barbara and Hanno created a blog for me 'cause they know that I wouldn't do it myself. They are both studying physics in Tübingen like I do and like me they'll be studying abroad during the next months. Barbara will be in Córdoba/Argentina, Hanno in Cambridge/England.
